Solomons Business Association will celebrate its 42nd year of Christmas Walk with the fabulous Lighted Boat Parade on Saturday, December 9th. Whether you’re a local or a visitor in search of some holiday magic, Solomons is the perfect place to get into the festive spirit. From the inaugural Solomons Vendor Christmas Village to the Business and Home decorating contest, there’s something for everyone to enjoy.
The Solomons Vendor Christmas Village is one of the many new things to look forward to this year. Solomons has a vibrant and diverse community of businesses and vendors that will be showcasing their goods for purchase. Make sure to stop by and support your local community by shopping small! At 6pm, the Lighted Boat Parade will begin, and it is truly a sight to behold. Admire the stunningly decorated boats as they glide through the Patuxent River against a backdrop of sparkling lights.
As the night continues, join in on the fun as the community comes together for the Christmas tree lighting. Snap a family photo in front of the beautifully adorned tree, and make lasting memories. The Business and Home decorating contest is another exciting event to anticipate. Wander through the town and take in the creativity and effort put into the festive decorations. Don’t forget to drop off your own letter to Santa in the special mailbox, and you might just get a response!
But the festivities don’t stop there; make sure to visit the Solomons Victorian Inn open house from 6pm-8pm. Experience the warmth and elegance of the inn and enjoy some treats while you’re at it. Special events at the Calvert Marine Museum include a visit from Santa Claus himself and the chance to meet the adorable otter mascot. Plus, indulge in some holiday shopping and crafts while enjoying the sounds of live music.
