In 1906, Shipwright Clarence Davis constructed a remarkable house on Solomons Island. With a front porch providing views of the harbor and easy access to his boatyard by skiff, Davis embraced the island’s nautical heritage in every room. Each room boasts furnishings and artwork that evoke the era, while providing an equally breathtaking panoramic view of the harbor that captivated Mr. Davis.
The Main House features five rooms, namely Orithia, Manitou, Narada, Chesapeake Sunset Suite, and Solomons Sunset – all inspired by the magnificent yachts crafted by Mr. Davis on the island. Chesapeake Sunset Suite on the second floor offers a breathtaking view of the island’s glorious sunsets. Solomons Sunset on the third level is our premier suite, boasting three stunning perspectives of the Chesapeake Bay.
